I made this cabinet for my Metabo BAS 261 band saw. I made it to raise the band saw to a more comfortable working height, and to provide storage for the saw and its accessories.
#Cutting and assembling the cabinet
I made the box and the drawer fronts from 12mm (1/2") birch plywood, and the drawer sides and bottom from regular 12mm ply to bring the cost down. The drawer slides are made of Ipe wood, and the drawers have recesses for the slides to run in. The top of the box has 2 layers of 12mm ply to make it more rigid, so that it can support the weight of the band saw without bending over time.
